Rose-Aimée is 13 years old. She lives happily in her small village in Haiti, until the day when misery forces her to leave her family. But in Port-au-Prince, at the hateful Madame Zéphyr's, there is no longer any question of studying or even discovering the joys of the city. Little by little, Rose-Aimée becomes his slave. With Lisa's help, she will manage to escape, without hope, however, of reaching freedom.
