From the window of their little house, Isabelle and Gérard look at the big dead maple tree. Old Vincendon promised them: trees never die and maple will sing. One stormy night in the Laurentians, a wolfdog finds refuge with a little girl, Céline. In a language that they are the only ones to understand, they decide never to leave each other again.
